Mueller Just Got “The Letter”

More and more Americans on both the left and the right want Mueller to resign. Now we are one step closer.

Daily Caller reported: A GOP congressman has sent a letter to Robert Mueller to appear in a public congressional hearing. Mueller’s investigation is under intense criticism by the GOP and has been called “ridiculous” by President Trump.

Texas Republican Rep. Brian Babin is asking for congressmen to sign onto a letter requesting that special counsel Robert Mueller appear publicly in a congressional hearing, The Daily Caller has learned.

Mueller, who is investigating Russian election interference and possible ties between the Kremlin and the Trump campaign, has come under intense criticism from allies of President Donald Trump for hiring attorneys who have donated to Democratic candidates and for his personal relationship with former FBI Director James Comey. Trump himself has called Mueller’s employment of Democratic donors “ridiculous,” yet he maintains that he has no plans to dismiss the special counsel.

Babin’s letter, which was obtained by TheDC, was sent out to congressmen Thursday and asks for members to cosign a letter he plans to send to House Judiciary chairman Bob Goodlatte and Senate Judiciary chairman Chuck Grassley.

“Every nominee for United States Attorney must be confirmed by the Senate, a process that brings to the forefront any concerns regarding the nominee’s ability to hold their position in a decent and impartial manner. However, as Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III and his team of lawyers investigate our very own president, we as a nation wait in the dark with very little information about those given this great authority,” Babin wrote in the letter to his fellow representatives. Breaking: North Korea Responds To President Trump

Moments ago, North Korea’s state-run KCNA news agency responded to the latest iteration of mutually-assured threats of destruction, blasting that it will “mercilessly wipe out the provocateurs making desperate attempts to stifle socialist country” and adds that “the U.S. will suffer a shameful defeat and final doom if it persists in extreme military adventure, sanctions and pressure.”

Breaking: China Chooses Sides

According to Chinese State Media, the Chinese should stay neutral if North Korea strikes at the U.S. first but will respond with force if the U.S. strikes North Korea.

Axios.com reported: A state-run newspaper has argued in an editorial that China should remain neutral if North Korea attacks the U.S., but intervene forcefully if the U.S. strikes first. Excerpt via Reuters:

“It needs to make clear its stance to all sides and make them understand that when their actions jeopardize China’s interests, China will respond with a firm hand. China should also make clear that if North Korea launches missiles that threaten U.S. soil first and the U.S. retaliates, China will stay neutral. If the U.S. and South Korea carry out strikes and try to overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political pattern of the Korean Peninsula, China will prevent them from doing so.”

A word of caution: While the newspaper, the Global Times, is published by the official party organ, the People’s Daily, it should not be interpreted as official government policy. Check out our source here.
